The Role

This is a great opportunity if you are looking to start or develop your early career in Accounting. As Assistant Financial Accountant with PeopleScout, you will be supported in performing a key role in our EMEA Accounts Team.

You will be part of an experienced team who prepare monthly management accounts and will have the opportunity to take ownership of various reporting, analysis and other accounting tasks.

You will:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Post prepayments and accrual journals and other journals relating as required
• Record intercompany transactions on our US accounting system Oracle
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Ensure the accuracy of accruals and submit framework fees as per our client agreements to meet deadlines
• Conduct analytical reviews of client profit and loss statements and monthly operating expenses
• Learn how to use multiple accounting systems and provide support to other teams with queries
• Support with the annual statutory audit process
• Generate ad hoc reports and conduct in-depth analyses on requests from the team or other departments
• Collaborate closely with the Assistant Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller, and other team managers to deliver precise management information

Who we're looking for

You will be a team player, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You may have started working towards an Accounting qualification, be a recent Finance or Accounting Graduate, or have an interest in Accounts and are good with numbers. 

You'll be keen to learn, have good Excel and communication skills, will be part of a small but collaborative team.
